This document lists the definitions used to understand the KM model by M. Weggeman.
Definitions of data, information, knowledge, competence, process, learning organization and ‘Knowledge intensive organization’ are given.
Further Weggeman’s definition of Knowledge Management and Weggeman’s definition in a formula K = f (I * ESA) are explained.
Discussions on KM can be confusing because of the numerous definitions used. IRC choose definitions that work. From the above-mentioned formula can be seen that ‘Knowledge is Information in USE’.
