The KM model by M. Weggeman

For in- and external KM programmes IRC uses models. One of the main models used was constructed by prof.dr.ir. M.C.D.P. Weggeman. Based on the mission and vision, organizational goals are formulated. The organization’s staff is assumed to have a collective ambition for KM to succeed.

The downloadable document contains an explanation of the model. It characterizes mission, vision and goal (s), describes the ‘Knowledge Value Chain’ (KVC) and arguments why closing the (KVC) loop is important.

Next to the chain, the Organisational Design Variables are elaborated on and the Knowledge Value Chain is dealt by column.

The last part sets out the organizational context of the model.
