Transparent as water
09 May 05
IRC is starting a programme that will support improved transparency and governance and reduces corruption. Some people, even those who strongly support efforts to improve the situation, are afraid of this topic. However, it is useful to search for solutions and actions that can make the water sector transparent and honest at every level. You can share your views and experiences in an e-conference on this subject from 9-27 May 2005.

Yet, poor (urban) farmers can use this wastewater as a very welcome source of water and nutrients for agriculture and make a living out of it. The joint WASPA programme will focus on decentralised wastewater management approaches for peri-urban neighbourhoods in secondary cities and towns.
