Rachel Norman

Rachel Norman will contribute to the symposium with a plenary presentation 'Monitoring: Fit for purpose?' on Thursday 11 April. Rachel is presently undertaking her PhD with Cranfield University, and is examining monitoring and evaluation in the WASH sector in lower-income countries – case studies: Kenya and Uganda. Prior to starting her PhD, Rachel has worked in the international development aid arena with organisations focusing on urban planning, agriculture and rural development, post conflict and transitional governance. She has approximately 15 years project management experience working with national and regional governments in the delivery of government and development partner funded projects with a particular focus on monitoring and evaluation. Additional corporate experience includes quality assurance and systems re-engineering. Geographical experience includes East, West and Southern Africa, Central Asia and the Pacific.
