Rolf Luyendijk will contribute to the symposium with the plenary presentation 'Global and national monitoring’s forgotten
history' on Thursday 11 April 2013. Rolf Luyendijk is associated with the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme for Water Supply and Sanitation since 2003. He holds a MSc. in Environmental Engineering from the Agricultural University of Wageningen in The Netherlands and an MPH from the Netherlands School of Public Health. He has 20 years of international experience working in WASH, environmental health and statistics in Indonesia, Mexico, Laos and Morocco. Based in New York, since 2008, he currently oversees the methodological developments of the JMP, as well as the data compilation, -analysis and -dissemination part of the JMP on behalf of UNICEF. He was a member of the JMP post-2015 working groups on hygiene and equity & non-discrimination and managed the JMP post-2015 process from UNICEF’s side.
