WaterAid

Across the developing world, WaterAid works with local partners who understand local issues. Technologies are used that fit the local context and people are trained to maintain them. Hardware, such as taps and latrines, is always backed up by education about good hygiene, making sure that the health benefits of safe water and sanitation are maximised. But WaterAid cannot solve the water and sanitation crisis on their own. So they use their experience and research to influence governments and other service providers to do more. The incredible generosity and commitment of all their supporters – individuals, institutions and companies – is behind everything they do.
