Topic leader: Carolien van der Voorden, WSSCC

Carolien van der Voorden, WSSCC is the topic leader of Symposium Topic 5: Monitoring for sanitation and hygiene. Carolien is a Senior Programme Officer in the Networking and Knowledge Management department of the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC). She is the focal point for development of national level strategic plans for WSSCC’s engagement with priority countries. Carolien is also in charge of the Council’s work on behavioural change at scale, and is involved in various aspects of sanitation and hygiene knowledge networking. Before joining the Council in 2003, Carolien held positions at The Mvula Trust, a South African water and sanitation NGO, and at IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre in The Netherlands. Carolien is a Dutch national who holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies.
