The thematic discussions ‘Palabres de l’eau’ (water talks) are interactive discussions between information professionals working in the water and sanitation sector. The inaugural event took place in Ouagadougou on 4 October 2011 around the theme ‘communes facing the challenges of water and sanitation service management in Burkina Faso’.
Towards sector learning and knowledge management in the Burkina Faso WASH sector - study report

IRC and the National network of resource centres from Burkina Faso (RCR-BF is its French acronym) have jointly carried out an investigation around current information and knowledge practices in the WASH sector in Burkina Faso This study is part of a longer-term investigation process that IRC and the resource centre network are undertaking to identify possible ways towards continuous sector learning. The present report gathers a wide set of conclusions about current practices and it further identifies some initiatives that could help improve WASH sector learning in Burkina Faso.

Resource Centre Development process within CREPA Network: experiences in six countries

The Regional Centre for Water supply and Sanitation (CREPA) took the decision to start the RCD process in the WASH sector in West and Central Africa. The process started in 2002 with six countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo) and is expected to spread to the whole CREPA network (17 French speaking countries in West and Central Africa).
