Extra session: Community level monitoring/tools

On Wednesday 10 April 2013, Mr. Arto Suominen, Chief Technical Advisor of COWASH, the “Community-led Accelerated WASH in Ethiopia” project will lead an extra session for symposium participants on 'Community level monitoring/tools'.

There are excellent examples of monitoring at community level—six of them will be presented during this session. Community level monitoring is often limited to the duration of a project and not linked with other monitoring systems, in particular the monitoring systems of (local) government and/or civil society groups. The discussion theme for this session is: how can community monitoring support and strengthen community long term monitoring of WASH services?

This extra session takes place 10 April from 11:00 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 15:30 hrs.
