WASH scenarios for 2015: A trends analysis paper

IRC, like other organisations, has to plan its activities without being sure what the future will look like. Four scenarios have been compiled by two IRC staff members based on some possible outcomes of the most volatile and important variables. The pictures that emerge may look optimistic or pessimistic; but they show a range of outcomes that IRC will need to plan for and to which it must respond.

The Joy of Learning: Participatory lesson plans on hygiene, sanitation, water, health and the environment

This guide is meant for teachers and others who want to design participatory learning activities on hygiene and sanitation. It is divided into two parts: theory and lesson plans. The lesson plans are organised into three sections: hygiene (including personal and food hygiene), sanitation and water.

Les OMD encourage de la continuité dans l’engagement pour surmonter et lutter contre la pauvreté persistante et pour travailler afin de réduire les échecs du développement humain.

Monitoreo de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio en Agua y Saneamiento

En septiembre de 2000, 147 jefes de Estado y 189 naciones se comprometieron a adoptar los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio (ODM). Los ODM representan un compromiso constante en la lucha contra la pobreza y buscan resolver los problemas que afectan el desarrollo humano desde hace mucho tiempo. Reducir a la mitad, para el año 2015, la proporción de la población que no cuenta con acceso sostenible a fuentes seguras de agua potable y saneamiento básico es una de las metas específicas establecidas para poder alcanzar los ODM.
