Interagency Group on Water in Africa (IGWA)

Also called UN Water Africa. African regional counterpart of the UNACC subcommittee on Water Resources. Established at the initiative of the United Nations Commission for Africa (UNECA) to coordinate and harmonize water activities in Africa by various UN and other subregional IGOs. The other objective of IGWA is to promote joint collaborative activities in the water sector in Africa by these agencies.
