Directorate of Water Development

The lead technical Water Sector Agency of the Ministry of Water, Lands and Environment. It coordinates and regulates all sector activities and provides support services to the local governments and other service providers. It comprises of two departments: the Water Resources Management Department. Responsible for ensuring sustainable and integrated management of the country's water resources; and the Water Supplies Department. Responsible for ensuring adequate supply of water and appropriate sanitation and hygiene process.
