Nile Basin Capacity Building Network for River Engineering (NBCBN-RE)

To strengthen the human and institutional capacity of the Nilotic States to manage the water resources in the Nile River Basin in an effective and environmentally sound way. The basin is shared by ten countries: Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, and Eritrea. Their focus is river engineering, a specific field of integrated water resources management.
