Consórcio Intermunicipal das Bacias dos Rios Piracicaba, Capivari e Jundiaí

The Consortium represents an expressive non party political force. Its goal with state, federal and international authorities is to obtain the necessary resources to develop sewage treatment centres, to preserve springs, and to recover the quality of the rivers. The goal with city governments and company members of the Consortium has been to reduce need for water collection and water consumption, by means of eliminating wastes and recycling water, protection of water springs though replanting forest areas, environmental education, and keeping up with changes in state and federal legislation.
