Part of the 'Universidad de Los Andes'. It is dedicated to education at postdegree level and to interdisciplinary research. One of their activities are the management and implementing of projects and programmes dealing with natural resources management, including water. It is alsa a member of the Latin American Alliance of Resource Centres of the Streams of Knowledge Network.
