Orangi Pilot Project - Research and Training Institute (OPP-RTI)

The Orangi Pilot Project - Research and Training Institute (OPP-RTI) initiated the community self-help programme that has transformed the sanitation and housing of the Orangi shanty settlement of Karachi in Pakistan. Its strategy has always been to help local people achieve their own development needs rather than rely on external sources of aid.
