Ethiopia country programme
Ethiopia is now a focus country for IRC under its new strategy (2012-16). Implementing an IRC Ethiopia country programme is a high priority to support the Government of Ethiopia and its development and civil society partners to achieve the targets of universal access to water and sanitation. Although IRC has a long track record of supporting WASH sector development in the country over the past decade and beyond, this intensification of efforts shows commitment to one of the countries with the largest numbers of people without water and sanitation services, a huge disease burden and high levels of food insecurity.
WASH blog Ethiopia
IRC's WASH blog Ethiopia aims to share, as quickly as possible, our insights, opinions and relevant information on reaching universal coverage in water and sanitation and sustaining services that last. We welcome comments and contributions.
Strategic partners
IRC's Ethiopia Country Programme is linked to the efforts of Government and NGO partners since we aim to add to, enhance and not duplicate the efforts of others. We focus on collaboration with a small number of strategic partners.
