The Water Management Team of the Sustainable Development and Productivity Division (SDPD) aims to strengthen the capacity of member states in efficiently managing their water resources, based on an integrated water resources management approach. ESCWA promotes economic and social development through regional and subregional cooperation and integration and serves as the main general economic and social development forum within the United Nations system for the ESCWA region.
