Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC)

Switzerland’s international co-operation agency within the Swiss Foreign Ministry. SDC has set up various divisions that work towards the overall goal of poverty alleviation. Amongst these divisions is the Natural Resources Environment (NRE) which focuses on (amongst others) soil and water; and natural disasters/technical risks. SDC employs an integrated water resource management strategy with water cutting across other divisional work such as Health, Social and HIV/Aids divisions.
