European Commission Development Policy

The goal of development policy is to encourage sustainable development that helps to eradicate poverty in developing countries and integrate these countries into the global economy. In addition to these objectives, there is a political plan: to help reinforce democracy and the rule of law, whilst promoting respect for human rights and basic freedoms.
