ADB's overarching goal is to reduce poverty in Asia and the Pacific. It provides loans and technical assistance for a broad range of development activities. Major ADB water themes are water and poverty; water in cities; water in small island countries; regional cooperation for shared water resources management; poverty and floods. ADB also has a gender in water partnership with the Gender and Water Alliance.
