The main functions of the National Directorate of Water include policy making and planning for water resources management, and provision of water supply and sanitation services. Inventory and maintenance of adequate information of water resources and water needs at national and regional levels. Establishment of water legislation and monitor its application. Execution of investments for studies, development projects and capital works.
