Daily Report East Africa practitioners workshop, Kigali, 29 March 2011
The East Africa practitioners’ workshop on pro-poor urban sanitation and hygiene was officially opened on the 29th of March 2011 by the Honourable Minister of Health of Rwanda, Dr. Richard Sezibera. This regional learning and sharing event is gathering about 60 participants from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Ethiopia, Southern Sudan, and Mozambique. The workshop started with a call on participants to share and learn from each other on how best to scale up sustainable efforts towards improving sanitation and hygiene among the urban poor communities in the region.
