The five-day programme starts with field visits in Zaragoza (one of the SWITCH cities) and focus on four topics on consecutive days: stakeholder engagement, stakeholder engagement and social inclusion, political engagement and media engagement.

Water in Cities: biggest challenge and learning alliances
The biggest challenge in relation to urban SWM is firstly, how to achieve cooperation between different kinds of expertise within the urban water sector and, secondly, how to link the technological solutions to financial aspects and to political opportunities.
Water in Cities conference: expected outcomes
Case studies, recommended actions, higlights from tghe debates and discussiions, and a policy brief are among the expected outputs. The conference outcomes will also be used as inputs to the Urban water management theme of World Water Day 2011.
