'Maria' cartoon: "not again, I'll be late for school for sure"

Providing indefinite and sustainable rural water services at scale was the key message being promoted at the International Symposium on Rural Water Service - Providing Rural Water Services at Scale that was held 13-15 April 2010 in Uganda. A series of cartoon posters and postcards aimed at highlighting the key concerns in rural water supply were developed specifically for the symposium and proved to be quite popular. The cartoons feature ‘Maria’ - a young, inquisitive girl living in rural Africa, along with her pet goat who together encounter some of these issues.
