Sanitation in informal settlements is a particularly complex field with a large range of stakeholders. Each has carved out their own niche and faces a very specific set of incentives and disincentives. Not surprisingly, talk of partnership abounds in the sanitation sector, yet the true challenges of creating and managing these partnerships remains relatively uncharted territory. The Learning and Sharing Workshop sought to unravel this complexity in Maputo, 24-25 November 2009.

DNA Mozambique and IRC sign Letter of Intent

The Direcção Nacional de Àguas (DNA) and IRC have signed a Letter of Intent to enhance cooperation in water sector support on 15 May 2009. In 2009 cooperation will focus on anti-corruption and Sector-Wide Approaches (SWAp).
