5th International Conference on Fog, Fog Collection and Dew

Organised by: Copernicus Meetings and University of Münster, Institute for Landscape Ecology Climatology.

The scope of this conference is to bring together people who are interested in any aspect of fog and dew, including both advanced scientific findings and practical applications of fog and dew collection.

Target group: representatives from universities, the private sector, government and international agencies, and educational organizations.

Tentative session titles:

  • fog / dew collectors and collection techniques;
  • fog collection projects and stakeholder involvement;
  • fog / dew chemistry and physics; fog climatology and trends; isotopic composition of fog water;
  • fog remote sensing; fog modelling and forecasting;
  • fog interaction with vegetation in deserts and extratropical ecosystems, and in tropical montane cloud forests;
  • fog deposition; fog and dew contribution to the hydrological budget;
  • fog as a hazard in traffic systems; urban fog;
  • fog-dew education and society;
  • dew formation, modeling, measurements and instrumentation;
  • dew and the environment.
