A UNICEF Manual on School Sanitation and Hygiene

This manual on school sanitation and hygiene (SSH) was first published in 1998 and implied the start of cooperation between IRC and UNICEF on hygiene, sanitation and water in schools. The manual deals with both hardware and software aspects needed to bring about changes in hygiene behaviour of students and, through these students, in the community at large.

Planning and Teambuilding for SWASTHH in Jharkhand and Bihar

Since 1996, UNICEF has been supporting the implementation of the School Sanitation and Hygiene Education (SSHE) programme in Bihar. The SWASTHH project was launched in Bihar with a workshop in June 2000. The present EDworkshop was held from 16 to 22 March 2001 in Ranchi.
