Countries involved

Updated - Monday 03 May 2004

The programme started with five well-established Resource Centres and IRC partners, in: Colombia (CINARA), Kenya (NETWAS), Mozambique (CFPAS), Nepal (NEWAH), and the Philippines (PCWS). IRC opened discussions with these organisations in February 2002 about developing the programme and formulating an activity plan for that year. Since then, scoping missions have been carried out in other countries, working with local organisations, to identify partners and the potential for an RCD programme. As a result, the programme is now progressing in the following countries:

Africa: Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda

Asia: Bangladesh, India (Kerala, Gujarat, Uttaranchal), Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam

Latin America: Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala

Europe: Bulgaria, Romania
