IRC inputs in Latin American Conference on Sanitation

From 12- 16 November 2007 several IRC specialists participated in the LATINOSAN 2007, Latin American Conference on Sanitation, in Cali, Colombia, as part of our 2007-2011 work in the region. It was the first of four regional conferences on sanitation held in the context of the International Year on Sanitation. It is organized by CINARA, together with the Government of Colombia and international organizations, particularly the WSP and UNICEF.

IRC inputs

IRC’s activities and inputs during the conference included:

  • participating in a regional meeting of the Gender and Water Alliance (GWA);
  • supporting CINARA in field visit for a Jamaican group;
  • facilitating Sanitation Education and Hygiene seminar
  • facilitating with the regional GPS group a session on Knowledge Management and Capacity Development
  • co facilitatingTransparency regional workshops
  • co facilitating Institutional framework and management models seminars
