It was centrally involved in supporting and co-ordinating NGO input into the International Conference on Freshwater in Bonn, December 2001. It also focused its work on the World Summit on Sustainable Development 2002 and the 3rd World Water Fprum in Japan in 2003, assisting NGOs active on freshwater issues to lobby for sanitation and water during the preparatory committee meetings.
