Results of action research in Ethiopia coming in

A three year action research programme in Ethiopia, which was started in November 2004, is bringing in the first results. A successful case of community managed water in Midre Genet has been published on the Scaling Up web site. An interview with the Water and Sanitation Committee of Midre Genet gives a picture of how changes are brought about in their area.
Next steps in Scaling Up

In September 2006 the Thematic Group met in the UK to share experiences on scaling up issues. They presented cases from different perspectives, from improved planning to behaviour change to learning platforms. These experiences will be captured in a programme design for scaling up and will be a consolidation of the work that has been built up over the last five years.
