Within IRC, the International Programme acts as the hub for supporting, consolidating and drawing lessons and inferences across IRC’s work and for delivering these into the global arena in such a way as to influence the dialogue and actions of the major sector development partners. Petra Brussee works within this hub as Programme Officer: actively linking activities, knowledge and people in and outside IRC and its network. From her position in the International Programme team Petra supports the communications team of the International Workstream of the Triple S project, the communication activities of the IRC Latin American Regional Programme and the IRC Monitoring & Learning team. Petra is the coordinator of the IRC exchange programme for young professionals in the WASH sector.
Petra's previous professional experience is with PUM Netherlands senior experts. Petra studied Cultural and Social Education in Utrecht and recently completed a course on Digital Video making.
Petra joined IRC in September 2003.
