rain water harvesting

1. Holestic approach for rainwater harvesting is desirable, depending on prevailing circumstaunces (topography, formations , hydrology,and economy etc.)of the area to be covered under the project.
2. Establishment of ethics among users regarding water use and harvest . Most water in India is utilized for agriculture, there fore farmers are to be motivated up to such a level that they will definitely create such rain water storage facilities , that equal amount of rain water is stored , which they consume for irrigation.
3. Every individual shoud be involved to consider rain water harvesting as their personal responsibility.
