Meetings between IRC and key stakeholders in Sri Lanka brought out the need to establish a mechanism to collect, analyze, store and disseminate supportive information and to provide links to relevant support agencies. Leading governmental and non-governmental organisations came together and established SRIWASH. This strong and broad backing ensures that the resource centre has the necessary support and status in the sector to be successful.
