The key message of this 25-minute video presentation in English is that communities are capable of managing their own water systems. It shows that the use of certain tools stimulates the process of improving management capacities of the people of four rural communities in Kenya. It also addresses key issues such as the relationship between the water committee and the community, the role of outside agencies and the need to involve all groups in identifying problems and creating solutions.

Target audience: staff working in the water sector, field staff, developers of training material and trainers.
