Community Self-improvement in Water Supply and Sanitation: a manual for community workers

Provides community workers with ideas and information to work with the community in order to implement self-help improvements. For use in training courses and for distribution as a reference for workers in the field. Gives a number of simple self-help solutions using technologies which are relatively easy to construct, operate and maintain. Provides information about the skills and materials required and the constraints on their application.
Target audience: community development workers, community health workers and other community-based workers in developing countries.
