This book deals with the revolutionary Methodology for Participatory Assessment (MPA) developed with the World Bank Water and Sanitation Program (WSP). Using a sequence of participatory tools, the MPA enables all stakeholders, from women users to programme managers and policy makers, to monitor and evaluate the sustainability and use of domestic water services. Furthermore, it allows sustainability and use to be clearly related to participation gender and poverty sensitiveness.
