Documents eight years of experience of the Netherlands-supported project, Maintenance Rural Water Supply (MRW/H14) from 1987 to 1993. The project focused on the development of a decentralized maintenance system and standardization of handpumps, initially in rural areas and subsequently in semi-urban areas.
