Proceedings of Offline KM Workshop – Dhaka, Bangladesh

This report is an output of a knowledge management workshop held at the National Resource Center (NRC) of the NGO Forum NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation (DWSS), Dhaka, Bangladesh, on September 20, 2004. The aim of the workshop, which attracted 38 participants, was to develop a common understanding of KM and to develop ideas on sharing of knowledge through partnerships. The workshop was supported by IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre, the Netherlands.
The report includes summaries of four working group discussions that tried to answer the following questions were:
- Is Knowledge Management a useful concept?
- Is it applicable in Bangladesh and in your organization?
- What is the most important thing to make it work?
- What do you advise for the Watsan people in other parts of the world?
- What do you advise them not to do?
