This report - based on a powerpoint presentation - is an output of the workshop organised by IWSD and IRC as a joint effort in Harare, Zimbabwe, on 21 September 2004. It contains summaries of working group discussions on following four topics followed by a summary of the plenary discussion and wrap-up:

1. constraints in knowledge management (KM);
2. benefits of KM;
3. KM success stories; and
4. scaling–up KM at organisational, network and sector level.
