Discussion lists

Discussion lists are useful to keep up to date in your field of interest, and if you have regular questions about certain topics you may find colleagues who are equally interested in your topic, and who like to share their experience. However, be very selective in subscribing yourself to a discussion list, as going through all the messages can be very time consuming. Luckily, many lists also offer the possibility to search the list archive.
