Selection of discussion lists relevant for the water and sanitation sector. These lists offer the possibility to get in contact with other professionals, to ask questions, or to share experiences.
WASH Google groups: Sanitation & Hygiene, Communication, Sector Learning
The IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre has opened up three of its Google groups to other WASH sector professionals.
WaterSanitationHygiene.org
This site hosts a collection of nearly 900 WASH technical resources and an active discussion forum. The forum discussions are grouped by broad categories : water, sanitation, hygiene, disease vectors, waste and enabling environment. Discussions in the most active categories, water and sanitation, are further subdivided by technology. The site host is anonymous.
SuSanA Forum
This open forum of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) covers a broad range of topics such as sanitation systems and technologies, health and hygiene, CLTS, school sanitation, sanitation systems for special conditions, and menstrual hygiene management,
eauwateragua
News postings and action alerts from the "World coalition against water privatization and commodification". An active list with on average on 140 messages per month, 102 members as of May 2006. While most messages are in French, 5-10% are in English.

Solution Exchange for the Water Community in India
The Water Community in India is an online platform for sector professionals on UN Solution Exchange. It was started in June 2005 and now has 3700 members from India and abroad.
SSHE_forward
Discussion group for everyone involved in school water sanitation and hygiene education, to share experiences or activities on school sanitation. SSHE-forward is established at the first international School Water Sanitation and Hygiene Education Symposium, held in Delft, The Netherlands from 8-10 June 2004.

Nabuur.com - Water and Sanitation group
The web page of this group provides a place to share information and discuss issues related to water and sanitation. Set up in 2008, group activity, which was already low, slowed down considerably at the end of 2009. Nabuur.com is an online volunteering platform that links Neighbours (online volunteers) with Villages (local communities) in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
