Sector 21 being one of the quarters of Bobo-Dioulasso city having a lesser access to Basic Urban Services, was selected as the location for a demonstration project, aiming at effective and efficient partnerships between municipal services and community-based organisations, on the integrated subjects of water supply, sanitation, storm water drainage and solid waste management.
June 2004 consultation
On Wednesday 9th June 2004, a consultation took place in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, on improving access to basic urban services. The consultation gathered about 100 actors from one of the town sectors together with technicians and political leaders, who discussed the neighbourhood's BUS-profile that was made up in the previous months.
