From System to Service: Mini-Conference Report, December 2001

Year of publication: 2004

The conference brought together 39 experts from a range of backgrounds and organisations. Its aim was to discuss the future of community management as an approach to providing sustainable water supplies, and particularly ways in which the community management approach could be ‘scaled up’ to greatly increase both coverage and sustainability.

The conference produced two key outputs, firstly the conference statement which serves as a preface to this report and secondly, a matrix of activities identified by conference attendees that serve as the basis for further work.
